I do interviews very differently than most people. I do a lot of OSINT and other techniques to try to figure out some basic questions before I even apply:
Who do I know at the organization or that formerly was there?
How big is the InfoSec team and are they expanding or shrinking?
Who is the hiring manager and their boss?
What kinds of technologies do they have?
What part of the business cycle are they in?
How can I help the organization?
This helps me to understand if I fit into the organization, keeps me from getting too nervous in the interview, and gives me the questions that I need answered before I take on the job.
